last week i went home to alaska for four days. i was lucky enough to get to hang out with my uncle cliff and aunt betty, aunt jeanie and uncle rod, and my mom and dad.
my parents and i took a flight up to denali on a picturesque day and got some great views of the "great one" and it
s surrounding peaks and glaciers. it was fantastic! check out the photos taken with my dad's digital camera.
yesterday ariel, jason, leila and i slogged around mount saint helena up in napa. we climbed a couple ( that's right, two ) of routes in the shade at "the bubble" and decided to move on to "the bear".
little did we know we would be spending an hour in a manzanita maze, sacrificing our skin, only to arrive no closer to the coveted rock face. drained and dehydrated,
we decided to cut our loses and call it a day. the bear got the best of us.
